Analysis
Sean Clifford, the experienced signal caller for the Penn State Nittany Lions, is a mixed bag as a prospect. On one hand you have a quarterback who has experience in the system and who plays well enough to keep you in games and be competitive. On the other, you have an athlete at the quarterback position who struggles with some key aspects as a passer. Clifford has a decent arm that can make some throws, but he struggles with ball placement and accuracy. Clifford struggles with leading his receivers and often places the ball a little behind the target which could be an issue at the next level. A team could be interested in Clifford because of his experience as a starter, but he should not have draft capital used on him.
