Analysis

AT Perry is a massive target coming out of Wake Forest, standing at 6’5” and 206 pounds. He has a long and lanky frame that creates mismatches anywhere down the field. Perry is a little older than some prospects on the board, as he will be 24 as a rookie. Given his size, Perry is quick off the line and does a good job of handling press coverage. He is a big target that can go across the middle or down the field to make a play. Perry has strong hands and he can hold onto the ball even in the tightest of coverage. He tracks the ball well when it is thrown over his head, and he can catch the ball while in stride and not lose a step. When the ball is in his hands he is elusive enough to make some noise after the catch. For a guy of his size he does struggle with blocking in the run game; he doesn’t have good hand placement or upper body strength at the point of attack. He can come off the snap high which can put him in disadvantages against corners. Does not always catch the ball with his hands, can let them come into his chest. Overall, Perry is a fun wide receiver to watch. There are some things that he needs to work on and things he will just struggle with due to his size. Because of the strength at the receiver class this season I believe that Perry will fall to Day 3 of the draft.

Tier: Day 3
