Analysis
Campbell has a freakish frame at 6’5″ and 243 pounds, with strong, vine-like arms that frequently trip up ball-carriers. Excels in pass coverage; in man he’s capable of covering running backs and tight ends. In zone, he possesses a good understanding of assignments. Has great closing speed that limits RAC opportunities for pass catchers in his vicinity. Does have a rather high missed tackle percentage, an issue that crops up on film from time to time. Susceptible to misjudging tackling angles and often either gets stuck in traffic or has to try to tackle from behind. Campbell also can struggle to get separation from offensive linemen when defending the run. Expect him to test very well at the combine given his closing speed, overall athleticism, and large frame. Overall I feel Campbell is a solid player who just needs to tidy up some very fixable issues. As of now I have him as a third rounder with the potential to move up to a second rounder if he makes up for some of the deficiencies in his game.
