Analysis
Pappoe is an athletic linebacker for the Auburn Tigers. Out of high school, he reportedly ran a 4.47 40 yard dash. He is a rangy linebacker that can go from one side of the field to the other at a very quick pace. He is the kind of defender who sees the play develop before he advances on the ball. While not a super strong pass rusher, he can cause problems for running backs and tight ends. When it comes to pass coverage, he is a spot dropper. He finds a spot on the field and goes to that section on the field. While Pappoe is extremely athletic, he does not play to the ability that he possesses. Because he waits for plays to develop, he is a lot slower reacting to plays than he should be. He truly struggles with block shedding in both pass rush and run defense. Part of these issues could be due to his size. To be an inside backer at the professional level he would need to add about 10 pounds and see if he can play at that weight. As of now I give him a third round grade. If he puts the pieces together, there is a definite possibility that he can sneak into the second round.
