Analysis

O’Cyrus Torrence has spent the majority of his career with the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, but will follow Billy Napier to Florida in 2022. I genuinely believe that Torrence will be a solid addition to their offensive line. Torrence is really strong in pass protection. He holds good leverage and maintains good pad level at the point of attack, while holding a strong and wide base. In pass pro, he doesn’t overreach or extend himself too far. His hands can at times be slow to come up and go out wide; letting pass rushers get into his chest and control him. In the run game he is that guy. He is powerful and mean with a really strong leg drive. He does well with sealing running lanes and was responsible for a lot of success with the Ragin’ Cajun run game. However, he can be inconsistent in the straight ahead running game. He is a big guy but he seems to fit his frame very well. While he has played a handful of snaps at tackle, he will be a guard at Florida and in the NFL. Overall I have given Torrence a third round grade with a ceiling grade in the second round. I am hesitant to give him a higher grade until I see how he competes against SEC talent.
