Analysis
Four star recruit out of Phillips Academy in Chicago, Illinois, and was at Alabama for three years before transferring to Texas in search of a new opportunity. During his time with the Crimson Tide, it was his smooth nature that stood out. His feet are incredibly fluid, and his routes are smooth. However, he struggles in attacking leverage or soft spots in zone. He simply runs what is given, rather than seeing if the defense is giving him any weaknesses to exploit. He also is more of a body catcher, and struggled in contested catch situations. He does show promise in the RAC game, demonstrating above average speed and athleticism at the position. Tight, physical coverage from bigger DBs or LBs gave him trouble. Inconsistent blocker. When he was able to make contact with the defender, he was typically able to move them off their spot. However, there were multiple occasions where he would miss the DB entirely. His impressive athletic profile may be enough to get him drafted, but he has a lot to work on from a technical perspective. He will get the opportunity to prove himself in Steve Sarkisian’s system, and has the chance to shoot up draft boards.
