Started the final 5 games and never looked back. Became a huge part of Texas Techs’ defense in 2021. He started every game and lead the team in both tackles for loss and sacks. In 2022 he had a similar season to 2021, but had a big improvement in the tackling department, almost doubling his total from the year before. Analysis

Before I start, as professionally as I can say this. Tyree Wilson is a DAWG, monster, a GUY, or whatever term you want to use to describe a great player. 6’6″ with a (reported) 86″ wingspan (that’s 7’2″) is a ridiculous build. Even with such long arms, he isn’t lanky, he has top-tier strength. While watching Wilson, I saw him line up in the following techniques: 3, 4i, 4, 5, 6i, 6, and 7. That level of versatility will allow him to fit with almost any personnel in the NFL. His first step and explosiveness jump off the screen when you watch him play. I really like Wilson’s move set. While a lot of his moves aren’t very advanced, he knows when and where to deploy his moves. Wilson doesn’t display otherworldly bend, but it’s definitely viable for the way he plays. He has great catch-up speed in the run game, but he also has great field IQ and blocks gaps really well. Along with this catch-up speed, his motor is insane. He is a sure tackler, and I have no concerns that this won’t continue this at the next level. His potential in the league is sky high and he will be a great fit in almost any defense.

Final Grade: 8.87 (Top 10 value)
